    Me

I grew up near the Canadian Rockies of Alberta where I studied photography, international relations and french.

As a child, I spent my summers in Croatia–spending time in another country and seeing first hand how war effected people is what would motivate my love of photojournalism, travel and languages.

Having always wanted to learn german, I eventually moved to Berlin where I studied german and taught english as a second language, photographing when I could.

After some time in Germany, I traveled to Kolkata, where I taught english and photography with an NGO and photographed both for them and myself.

Soon after, I moved to London to pursue a masters degree in photojournalism and had an amazing opportunity to volunteer in the communications department of Medicines Sans Frontieres, MSF, for four months during my studies, learning not only how they put publications and field material together but also how they used photography and how they worked with photographers to effectively and responsibly convey their message.

After some time in London, I moved to New York where I would live for the next four years. While there, I worked with the incredible team at VII Photo Agency, managing VII’s online content and digital assets while also learning from the some of the world’s greatest photojournalists. I had the opportunity to be part of some great projects, like Starved for Attention, in collaboration with MSF, and Our World at War, in collaboration with ICRC.

In June of 2011, I relocated once again to Calgary, Alberta.
